Graston Technique—
An Evidence Based Approach to Manual Therapy

The effectiveness of the Graston Technique® is founded in research. The Graston Technique and Graston instruments have been clinically proven to help detect dysfunctions and fascial changes. It also may cause several of the following physiological effects to occur:

  • Increases the rate and amount of blood flow to and from the area
  • Increases histamine response secondary to mast cell activity
  • Increases cellular activity in the region, including fibroblasts and mast cells
  • Separates and breaks down collagen cross-links, and splays and stretches connective tissue and muscle fibers

Why Focus on Training & Education?

Education Is the Difference

The Graston Technique’s focus on education is the main differentiator when it comes to the instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization community. Graston Technique is one of the few companies that stress and require education before use of instruments. GT views themselves as an education company first and teaches you how to treat and manage soft tissue dysfunction with IASTM.

By teaching you specific techniques to combat patient discomfort and tissue dysfunctions, Graston is investing in your reputation and standing as a chiropractor. Being certified in the Graston Technique not only opens your practice to a new pool of patients, but also distinguishes your commitment to continuing education and providing the best outcomes possible. Don’t settle for just a set of tools; invest in proper training and learn how to diagnose, treat, and improve using the instruments you’ve purchased.

Decades of experience and practice have gone into the Module 1 and 2 training. Dedication to knowledge and excellence are what sets the Graston Technique apart in the marketplace.
