Spine-Worx

MeyerDC # UTPSW10 MFG# SW-10 HCPCS# A9270

Designed by a chiropractor, this natural back re-alignment system uses your body’s own weight to apply controlled pressure to the thoracic and lumbar vertebrae. As you lie on Spine-Worx, your spine is pressed firmly against the length of its two unique padded and contoured rails, injection-molded to fit the natural shape of the mid- and lower back. The vertebrae in the spine are gradually and gently encouraged to realign into their natural positions, which helps to relieve backpain and improve overall mobility.

An Introduction to Using the Spine-Worx

  • Have your patient sit on the floor with the Spine-Worx system at the base of their spine.
  • Help the patient slowly lean back with their feet out in front of them and hands or elbows on the floor so that the Spine-Worx grooves align on either side of their spine.
  • Use a pillow to support your patient’s head on a level plane with the spine.

While Using the Spine-Worx

  • Have your patient lie back so that their back is positioned directly on the Spine-Worx channels.
  • Make sure your patient’s body is relaxed and remains still. The first two or three minutes can be uncomfortable for some patients, but their spine will begin to conform to the Spine-Worx system and sore muscles will begin to relax.
  • You may start patients with 5 or 10 minutes at first and have them work their way up to 15 minutes.

After Using the Spine-Worx

  • When your patient has laid on the Spine-Worx for up to 15 minutes, have them slowly roll to one side of the device with their elbows and arms underneath them and rest for 5 minutes while laying on their stomach and chest.
  • Have your patient slowly lift their body with their knees on the ground, and rest for another 2 minutes in this position. Once 2 minutes have passed, they can begin to stand up.
  • Patients will feel that their spine is now properly aligned and straight. Some patients even feel taller now that their spine has been aligned.
