NOW Foods was founded by Elwood Richard in 1968, long before healthy foods and natural supplements were mainstream. A degreed physical chemist with an interest in nutrition, Mr. Richard was particularly intrigued by the idea of enhancing athletes’ physical performance through the use of healthy foods and nutritional supplements. His research led him to create the first protein supplement used in the United States and to launch NOW Foods to help customers enjoy the benefits of healthy foods and nutritional supplements.
Still owned and operated by the Richard family after 50 years, NOW Foods remains focused on meeting the needs of its customers.
