TheraTouch CX4 Clinical Electrotherapy and Ultrasound System
Clinical Electrotherapy and Ultrasound System
The TheraTouch CX4 is an advanced four-channel combination therapy system providing electrotherapy and ultrasound treatment options in a simple-to-use, ergonomic design. The TheraTouch CX4's bilingual interface intuitively groups and displays clinical protocols to guide clinicians step-by-step to ensure an ideal therapeutic treatment, including electrode placement recommendations to ensure treatment efficacy and clinic efficiency. Therapeutic ultrasound can be combined with stimulation using the dedicated stim channel, using any supplied waveform.
The TheraTouch CX4 is a combination device, combining the functions of the TheraTouch EX4 and the Ultrasound Therapy in a single device. With the TheraTouch CX4, the simultaneous application of ultrasound and electrotherapy (combination therapy) is also possible. The remaining electrotherapy channel can then be used independently.
Richmar's TheraTouch Devices
The TheraTouch® devices are a family of clinical therapy devices that offer chiropractors a wide range of treatment options. These devices share an identical control panel equipped with a full color touch screen, making treatment set-up easier than ever.
What is E-Stim?
E-Stim, or electrical stimulation, sends mild electrical pulses through the skin of treatment areas to stimulate sore or strained muscles and joints. TENS and EMS are the two most common types of electrical stimulation treatments used in chiropractic offices.
Ultrasound therapy can be used to provide relief from discomfort associated with a variety of muscle and joint issues including the following.
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Sprains & strains
- Scar tissue
The TheraTouch CX4 Clinical Electrotherapy and Ultrasound System is an advanced combination system that offers multiple waveform electrotherapy, including Interferential, Premodulated, TENS (Symmetrical Biphasic, Asymmetrical Biphasic, Rapid Agonist Antagonist Sequencing (RAAS)), NMS, Russian, High Volt, and Microcurrent. This device provides dual frequency ultrasound at 1 MHz and 3 MHz and a low BNR ratio of 5:1. Designed for tabletop or therapy cart use, the TheraTouch CX4 features a bilingual, color touchscreen with menu-driven interface that intuitively groups and displays step-by-step clinical protocols. Clinicians can choose to use preset clinical protocols or customize their own. Anatomical and pathological libraries also provide recommended electrode placement to ensure better treatment outcomes and improved clinic efficiency. Additional features include four channels of independent stimulation that can be used in combination (linked) or independently. Independent intensity and parameter controls are included for each channel. Also, the “Favorites” feature stores up to 99 user-defined protocols for future use.
